Carency

Alright, the final day of the C<>DE Berlin Application Challenge is here.
Let’s start the day off with finishing touches to the website.

The website is all done, let’s figure out how to actually hand in my project.

Alright I’ll have to answer the 3 questions from the E-Mail in a separate form, let’s do that.
To remind you, these are the questions:

1. How did you identify the problem to solve and why did you pick this particular organization, institution or individual?
2. Describe your approach. How did you come up with it? Is it the best possible solution? Why?
3. What did you learn in the past few weeks?

Alright, answered the questions, now I’ll tidy up all the files related to the project and hand in the challenge, fingers crossed.

Yey, all the side-effects are gone, back to work!

I just recorded myself going over the prototype, I’m still sweating, that was awkward haha, not used to it yet. Definitely went out of my comfort zone there.
I’ll implement it on the website and after that I’ll go back to learning how to code.

Let’s see how far I can push the wordpress site today.
“Home”, “App”, and “About me” are all done. “App” still needs the video of me going over the prototype, but besides that pretty happy. Maybe I’ll actually go for some python-lessons while doing the html/css/javascript basics once I have more time on my hand after the website.

Hmm just came to realise that my website looks like this on big monitors:

While it looks like this on my end:

Alright, so I thought about how to go on from this point and I think learning the languages whilst building a wordpress site to showcase my project a bit better is a solid plan.
So from now on I’ll focus on getting to know wordpress while squeezing in some freecodecamp lessons along the way.

Just updated my domain nameservers so that wordpress will actually work.
Getting used to WordPress is harder than I imagined it to be, glad I started a few days early.

Alright, some hours later and I’m on a good route, got a landing page I fancy, now to the other pages — I want my complete challenge to be accessible through carency.net — Let’s see if I can realise that goal.

I’ll go for dinner and finish the day with some html lessons in bed.
